Discover Chloe By Vincent

Walking into Chloe By Vincent feels like stepping into a thoughtfully curated corner of Minneapolis dining where intention meets comfort. Tucked at 700 S 3rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55415, United States, this diner-style restaurant balances neighborhood warmth with chef-driven ambition. I first visited on a chilly weekday evening, the kind where you want something familiar but done better than expected, and that’s exactly what I got.

The menu leans into modern American comfort food with subtle global touches. What stood out right away was how readable yet surprising the menu felt. Instead of overwhelming options, each dish seemed deliberate. I ordered a seasonal grain bowl paired with a slow-braised protein, and the layering of flavors suggested careful testing rather than guesswork. In professional kitchens, this usually means iterative tasting, feedback loops, and supplier consistency, all signs of a kitchen that respects process. According to data from the National Restaurant Association, menus with focused selections tend to score higher in customer satisfaction, and that rings true here.

Service adds another layer to the experience. On my second visit, I came with a friend who works in hospitality, and we both noticed how staff members explained dishes without sounding rehearsed. That kind of fluency usually comes from pre-service tastings and daily briefings, a practice recommended by organizations like the James Beard Foundation for maintaining quality and trust. When servers actually understand what’s on the plate, reviews tend to reflect that confidence, and online feedback for this spot often mentions consistency and friendliness.

One phrase that kept coming to mind during my visits was thoughtfully indulgent. Portions are satisfying without tipping into excess, and ingredients feel responsibly sourced. While the restaurant doesn’t oversell its sustainability practices, the approach aligns with broader industry research from the USDA showing that diners increasingly value transparency and ingredient quality, even in casual settings. Still, it’s worth noting that sourcing details aren’t always clearly listed, which could leave some guests wanting more specifics.

The dining room itself supports the food rather than competing with it. Natural light during the day and warm tones at night make it easy to linger, whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for dinner. I once spent over an hour there finishing a project, and no one rushed me, which says a lot about how the place understands its role in the neighborhood. It feels designed for locals as much as visitors exploring downtown locations.

Reviews often highlight the balance between creativity and approachability, and that’s accurate. This isn’t experimental dining for the sake of novelty. Instead, it’s about refining familiar ideas. A case in point: a classic dessert reworked with seasonal fruit and less sugar, echoing current culinary research that shows reduced sweetness enhances overall flavor perception. That kind of adjustment reflects real expertise rather than trend-chasing.

If there’s a limitation, it’s that peak hours can get busy, and seating fills up fast. On weekends, a short wait isn’t unusual, so planning ahead helps. That said, turnover remains smooth, which suggests efficient kitchen workflow and front-of-house coordination, another marker of a well-run operation.

What stays with you after leaving is the sense that every choice, from menu design to service style, is intentional. The restaurant doesn’t try to be everything at once. Instead, it focuses on doing a few things really well, and that clarity shows in both the food and the atmosphere. For anyone scanning Minneapolis reviews for a place that feels genuine, grounded, and quietly confident, this diner earns its reputation through consistency rather than hype.

  • My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! We came on a Saturday close to opening time and it was relatively quiet until it got much more busy with customers around 5:30pm. The restaurant staff are welcoming and kind, the food and drinks came out quickly and everything was so delicious. We ordered the baguette, escargot, fries, beef bourguignon, ravioli and finished off with a vanilla crème brûlée. We enjoyed everything. Highly recommend!

  • Our experience tonight was great! From the nicest staff members to the delicious meals we inhaled, we were very satisfied! Shout out to Esther and Abby who helped me with my request for a romulan ale to troll my Star Trek loving husband. Thank you both so much!

  • Happy hour 4-6 is so nice. Feels unconventional because of its reasonable time but I’m all for it! We were able to get a half price bottle of wine and other delicious dishes. French onion soup is the closest I’ve had to the ones I’ve had in France. They call their Tarte Flambée “flatbread” just as an aside. I assume this is to not confuse midwesterners. Every time I had tarte flambée in France/Germany, it was cut in little squares and used lardon, but they cut theirs more like a pizza and use bacon here. Mussels were great but they should start with more than two tiny slices of bread! Have been twice so far and will be back!

  • Enjoyed an early 5 pm dinner here before a Guthrie show. Ordered items off of the Snacks Happy Hour menu so we could try a variety of things. Food was good, service left much to be desired. One check in from the waiter after our food had been delivered, before we had been able to try anything and the other check in when we were asked if we were ready for the bill which we were not as we wanted to order dessert. We enjoyed the food and are hopeful it was just an off night with the service! Would give it a second shot on a night with no time commitments.

  • My new favorite restaurant in Minneapolis! I had the Viande En Croute and it was delicious. My friend had the chicken thigh coq a vin. We shared the mussels for our appetizer. It was magnificent!
